Landcom, developers of ‘The Ponds’ in Sydney’s north-west growth corridor, used a nature reserve adjacent to their site and a central creek to create a unique sense of place. The required buffer zones around these natural assets were leveraged to create a community with a large amount of parkland/recreational space. The project vision was built around this feature with health and recreation becoming a driver of the design solution.
